DIXON TO RUN FOR JUDGE

James “Jim” Dixon, local attorney and Thurston County’s Daniel Bigelow lawyer of the year, is running for Superior Court Judge.

Dixon, respected for his work ethic, first-class client advocacy, and unparalleled courtroom demeanor, will work hard to increase accountability in our law and justice system, close the gap between the community and judiciary, and bring honor and integrity to the courtroom.

“Jim will be an asset to Superior Court. His knowledge of the legal system combined with his drive and determination will allow him to hit the ground running. He’ll be an effective judge from day one,” says former State Representative Denny Heck.

Dixon has lived and worked in Thurston County for 21 years. Prior to beginning his legal career, he did counterintelligence and undercover work for the FBI for 10 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and urban affairs from the University of Puget Sound and a Master of Public Administration from Rice University. He received his law degree from UPS in 1990.

Dixon is currently partner at Ditlevson Rodgers Dixon, P.S. in Olympia. He is also former Thurston County Bar Association President and an AV-rated lawyer, a certification given for preeminent legal ability, high ethical standards and professional excellence.

In his spare time, he travels to area high schools and universities to talk about the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and his work as an attorney.
