Coach’s summary comments about this season: We have some good young kids. Our strength is we’ve got speed and strength. We’re happy with our strength levels and we’re fast, especially on defense. We also have a strong tradition and a lot of players turning out. Team needs to stay focused from week to week. Bellarmine returns everyone. Gig Harbor is traditionally a very strong program. Shelton continues to improve. Obviously, it’s disappointing to get to the playoffs and then get knocked out. I’m not taking anything away from the quality of opponent we’re playing. The last two years we should have won those games. But we get wore down. And with a lack of size a little bit, that gets on us a little bit. We feel we’ve got a little more depth and can keep running fresh guys out there.
