Detour Routes to Thurston County Fairgrounds Help to Get Around Carpenter Road Construction
A major construction project has blocked part of Carpenter Road in Thurston County, but NOT the part where the Thurston County Fairgrounds are located. The fair begins the first Wednesday in August, but volunteers and others preparing for the fair can easily get there despite the construction.
The road construction work does not directly impact the fair location at 3054 Carpenter Road in Lacey. You can easily reach the fairgrounds along Carpenter Road SE, from either Pacific Avenue or Mullen Road. Fairgoers can access Carpenter Road southbound at Pacific Avenue from the west via College Street and Lacey Boulevard. From the east, Pacific Avenue is accessible from Marvin Road.
If you are traveling to the Thurston County Fairgrounds via Martin Way you can detour around the construction via Kinwood Road SE located approximately ¼ mile East of Carpenter Road.
