Youth Chorus Will Delight with Disney Dazzle

Four youth choirs will delight attendees at the “Disney Dazzle” concert on Sunday, May 22. Singers will showcase popular songs from classic Disney movies to contemporary renditions at this upbeat concert.

Presented by Olympia Youth Chorus (OYC), this show of familiar tunes will feature singers from 5-18 years old. It will be held at SPSCC’s Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts starting at 4 p.m.

Olympia Youth Chorus (OYC) is a nonprofit vocal music program serving young singers in the greater South Sound community, including Thurston, Lewis and Mason counties.  In addition to local performances, OYC choirs have performed in England, Hawaii, San Francisco and New York’s Lincoln Center. Over 900 singers have participated in the program over the last 16 years.

Since its founding in 1995, OYC has been under the direction of well known educator and Artistic Director Cynthia Dinsmore.  Annually about 150 girls and boys (with unchanged voices) participate. Singers are from public and private schools, as well as home-schooled.
