Tai Chi in the Yelm Timberland Library

Most of us have heard about Tai Chi, a branch of martial arts that originated in China hundreds of years ago, but how many of us have actually tried it? If you can’t make it down to your local dojo any time soon, try visiting the Yelm Timberland Library (210 Prairie Park Street 98597). This Wednesday, March 23rd, at 6:30PM, seasoned instructor Rick Stillwagon will be teaching an hour-long Tai Chi class free of charge. Tai Chi is not only relaxing, but it is also great for those who want a satisfying, but not overly taxing, workout. The movements are slow and encourage flexibility and balance. This class is open to adults and teens of all experience levels, just make sure to bring comfortable clothes that you can move around in.
