Capitol Forest (Fall Creek) Winter Mountain Biking – Trail update

Today reporters rode up trail 8 across 50 and down 6 out of the Fall Creek area in the Capitol Forest. The trails in the Capitol Forest were mostly dry and fast! When we started the ride it was 32 degrees and 33 at the end so dress warm for the downhill.

“…Wow, who would have thought the trails would look like this is in January we were skiing powder last week!..”  Mountain Biker

Whether you are hiking, biking or walking the dog the Capitol Forest Trails are in great shape out of Fall Creek! With the clear skies today we saw Mount Rainier, Mount Saint Helens and Mount Adams a few times throughout the ride.

With sun in the forecast for most of next week — get out and enjoy the outdoors!  See you on the trails!

* Note the trails will be muddy next week but in good shape due to this week’s forecasted rain and above freezing conditions. On the bright side that does mean powder at the ski resorts come the end of this week!
