Election turnout record
Turnout for the November election, in Thurston County, has set a record going back more than 28 years.
When the results of the election are finalized on November 23, Thurston County Auditor Kim Wyman expects the turnout to top 72 percent, edging out the previous record for a mid-term election in 1982 which was just over 71 percent.
Wyman says she doesn’t expect any changes in the election outcome and doesn’t expect any recounts.
