Socialized dogs are good dogs and when looking for “off leash” dog parks in the Thurston County area they are a bit hard to find however we will have an option.
Hogum Bay Road N.E. Lacey (Hawks Praire)
Five-Six acres of the Thurston County Waste and Recovery Center
I have been taking my dog to random locations throughout Thurston County for 10 years and for the most part have never had any issues tossing the leash and letting my dog run or mainly swim, with the assumption she is not in anyone’s space etc. I follow solid dog owner etiquette, as well.
I also found the below website with non-official dog park locations.

“This is an Unofficial dog park behind the senior center off pacific ave. To get there, go towards hawks prairie on Pacific Ave and just past Carpenter rd is the Lacey Community Center and Senior Center (on the right). They’ve just recently paved the parking area, but tucked in the back and to the right is a large meadow surrounded by trees & shrubs with a path around the perimeter and a great creek and swim area for the pups. Poop bags on site and loose leash laws. Bring your herd!”
