Grove Street Brewhouse – Great Beer!

I swung into the Grove Street Brewhouse this afternoon and enjoyed a bowl of homemade chili, free WiFi and great music. Yes, I skipped the beer, this time.

I heard chatter that their beers are going to be available at a few select locations throughout Thurston County. I will see if I can come up with a list of where their beers will be available throughout Thurston County, as they are good good (I know first hand).

It is well worth the drive to visit the brewery in downtown Shelton, just 20 minutes from Olympia!

Grove Street Brewhouse, the first brewery in Mason County, opened for business in October 2009.  Owned by local couple Jeff and Tessie Thompson, the Pontiac dealership-turned-brewery in downtown Shelton features its own on-site pub brewery, much of the original timber, frame, and woodwork, a bar serving 7+ housemade beers, local wines and ciders, housemade sodas, an impressive variety of specialty teas, and a full kitchen serving house baked goods and homemade pub fare.   Run by the Thompsons, along with their two daughters, and a fantastic kitchen, service, and brewery crew, GSB invites you to join us for lunch, dinner, or just a couple beers.  We are all-ages friendly, so bring your family and neighbors.  Short for “Public House”, our goal is bring the true  meeting place “pub” culture to Shelton and Mason County.
